Project Description

Reasons for facilitation

• The Markaz wanted assistance with facilitating a sensitive discussion
• Give participants a mode of expression following a serious discussion of current events relating to a difficult international phenomenon
• Help participants get an expanded perspective through discussing sensitive topics in a safe space

Results

• Participants opened to the perspectives of others
• People felt the ability to share their thoughts and feelings and be heard
• Many of the participants asked for the ability to have future hosted dialogues
• The Markaz received credit for bringing people together for a deep, productive discussion
